HETTON - BOSSMOOR CIRCULAR
Distance: 7.0 Miles (2h 46m)

Rating: Moderate

Description: This walk takes you along country lanes leading up onto Bossmoor with spectacular 360° views. An Autumnal favourite walk of ours, with the moors awash with flowering purple heather.

Directions: From Coxons Farm Glamping pods, head out to the B6265 and turn right. Continue down the hill and cross over the road heading up Chapel Lane, passing St. Peters Church and arriving into the village of Rylstone.
Cross over the road, and bear right towards the lay-by, going through the gate onto Mucky Lane (its not that mucky!) Continue until you reach Cracoe Cricket Club, and turn left.

Continue until you reach the village of Hetton, up the hill and on to Moor Lane. Go through the 1st gate at the top of the hill, when you reach the 2nd gate, take the track to the right.

Follow the track along the moor, until it emerges out onto Fleets Lane, then walk 100m along the road, to the parking area and continue on the moor track.

Continue on the moor track passing through the 1st set of gates, and taking the right hand junction, through the 2nd gate. This track leads towards the quarry, before crossing over Eller Beck.

Walk through the next field, and onto the lane, which borders the land at Coxons Farm. Follow the lane under the railway bridge before emerging in the NW of the village of Cracoe.
