Cracoe Pinnacle and Rylstone Cross

Distance: 5.7 Miles (2h 42m)

Rating: Challenging

Description: With steep climbs, and scrambles over gritstone ledges, this walk is challenging in places, but the view from the top is well worth the effort. This is our number 1 recommended walk in terms of views and things to see.

Directions: From Coxons Farm Glamping pods, head out to the B6265 and turn left, continue until you reach Jacksons Farm Shop then cross over the road and follow the lane straight ahead which will lead you onto Fell Lane.

Continue on Fell Lane until you reach the old sheep pens and follow the path onto Cracoe Fell which will take you all the way up to the Obelisk.

From here, climb over the style and head South following the track along the gritstone ridge until you come to Rylstone cross.

There is now a leisurely walk down from Rylstone Cross into the village of Rylstone. When you arrive at St Peters Church, turn right onto church lane, and follow the lane back into Cracoe.
